Showers fell before dawn Monday in some parts of the Bay Area, and heavier rain was expected later in the morning.

For most of the Bay Area, the rain is expected to arrive around 9:30 a.m. and end by noon.
San Joses Veterans Day parade, set to start at noon, will go on, rain or shine.
In the Lake Tahoe area, a winter weather advisory is in effect from noon to 10 p.m. Monday. Two to 6 inches of snow is forecast at Sierra Nevada passes, the National Weather Service said.
